PT Angkasa Buana Cipta, or nowadays well known under the abbreviation ABC, was established in 1983.The company’s business activities were restructured in 1990 and Bambang Winarto was appointed to become Managing Director and Suharto Praptono became the Executive Director of the ABC Executive Board of Directors.
ABC’s core business is in the field of Electrical, Telecommunication and Information Technology.
From year to year, the business activities of ABC have grown to many different areas without leaving the core competence in the domain of Electrical, Telecommunication and information Technology.
Encouraged with prospective demand in consumer electronics business, PT. Angkasa Buana Cipta was also spreading their wings into the area of consumer electronics and retail business since 1990 and having been assured of excellent products quality, the Company have put their first major interest in PLANTRONICS products and later on in NBS products as their Expansion path.
Ever since, PT. Angkasa Buana Cipta had shown great enthusiasm and effort in working closely with PLANTRONICS to fulfill great demand of headsets products in the territory of the Republic of Indonesia and have finally been appointed as the first Authorized Distributor for PLANTRONICS in this territory in 1996 and NBS in 2010.
Not only appointing sub-distributors, the management of PT. Angkasa Buana Cipta have also established a company subsidiary called PT. Angkasa Buana Niaga Cipta (ABNC), with some highly motivated and fully dedicated personnel, who will concentrate in this retail business, and most especially in handling PLANTRONICS and NBS Products.
ABNC also has separated the PLANTORNICS into two major divisions: Call Center and Wireless, with their own professionals inside. Having these two divisions to handle the PLANTRONICS, we believe that we are professional on this business and capable to compete with the other brands. Besides, we could finally prove to the other that we could be the number one on this business.
As for the NBS, we focus on the needs of the card personalization industry. We provide solutions for card personalization, secure identity, smart card manufacturing, wafer handling & embedding, and a whole host of card printing and embossing solutions. From desktop thermal printing with our Javelin™ line of card printers to a complete high-volume EMV solution using our patented, cross platform EMV software and our unparalleled hardware, the Horizon™ Evolution HD card personalization system, NBS answers the needs of our customers - big or small by achieving leadership in the cost per card and ownership arenas ... where it counts the most.

From Santa Cruz to Tranquility Base: The Lightweight Headset Takes Flight
In 1961 a pilot from Santa Cruz, California had an idea and eight years later that same idea would carry the historic first words from the moon: "That's one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind." The idea was a lightweight communications headset.
Originally designed for use by airline pilots as an alternative to the bulky headphones of the day, the lightweight design soon caught the eye of NASA. Beginning with the final two Mercury flights, Plantronics headsets were used exclusively by the crews of the Gemini and Apollo programs, including all the lunar missions, as well as on the ground by mission controllers.
Other mission-critical customers soon took note. In the mid '60s, the Federal Aviation Agency selected Plantronics as the sole supplier of headsets for air traffic controllers, a privilege Plantronics still holds today. And in a critical milestone for the company, Plantronics was soon selected to supply headsets to the operators of the Bell Telephone company.
